Print out the .pdf template. HERE
Colour it as you’d like, use your fantasy and imagination.
Cut along solid lines.
Fold dotted lines.
To create the stand, cut the line at the top of the template, and fold it on the dotted lines. Glue one short edge to the other, to create a triangle-like shape (see pictures for reference).
Stick one side of the stand to the elf’s back.
Hide your Elf where you want on your shelf.. You can also organise a scavenger hunt..

Mechanical equilibrium is a state of a system in which the sum of the forces is equal to zero. This state if static, allow a body to stand still in a position as our elf on the shelf. Humans can stay in equilibrium using the so-called sense of balance, you can try it standing on one foot at a time!
