First of all…let’s design!

Start by drawing your idea on paper. If you need inspiration check the video below or search the internet for “automata”.

Once you have your sketch ready, it’s time to find some waste materials. You will need some cardboard and a chopstick or a skewer or even a pencil is fine to start.

Now it’s time to build the main structure of your project. It should look like a box with a window (an open side). You need to bear in mind that to create the mechanism, you will use a skewer, chopstick or a pencil, so just make sure your box is not too big. Take a look at the video to see an example of the final result.
