To celebrate International Day of Mathematics on 14 March our friends at Maths Eyes are running a special competition to test everyone’s maths eyes. To make it easy for everyone to enter, they will present four photographs and all you have to do is to pick one picture and submit a tagline reflecting the maths

Join us for the Mathsweek MINI QUIZ with Franz Schlinwein on 19th October 2023. Where pupils in their own class, collaborate to work as one team, competing against hundreds of other classes from across the country. The questions nurture collaboration and communication between classmates and as they are posed by video and not in written form, encourage all pupils to become actively involved.

ATU Sligo is holding a mathematics talk for primary and secondary school kids during Maths Week. The speaker, Dr. Fernando Blasco is a mathematician and lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, interested in recreational maths and magic. He uses magic to introduce the public to topics such as prime numbers, knot theory, sudoku, topology, number systems, mind games, calendars or quick calculation.
