ATU Sligo is offering an extra-curricular Mathematics Enrichment Program for secondary school students commencing on Thursday October 5th 2023.
The journey through the presentations takes the young mathematicians to the world of puzzling. The mixture of activities brings about predictability. Surprise, wonderment and the feeling of self-satisfaction.

The speaker, Dr. Fernando Blasco is a mathematician and lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, interested in recreational maths and magic. He uses magic to introduce the public to topics such as prime numbers, knot theory, sudoku, topology, number systems, mind games, calendars or quick calculation.

In celebration of Maths Week, Bubbly Maths with Caroline Ainslie will take place. Caroline will perform her 45-minute maths show using magical soap bubbles and giant balloons to illustrate the mathematical fundamentals of shape, space and measurements.
