Over 480,000 pupils have taken part in Maths Week 2023.

  • 2,727 Teachers from 2,154 schools registered for Maths Week

  • Over 104,016 pupils from 838 schools took part in the Maths Week Olympiad.

  • Over 20,000 students participated in our Maths Week Mini and Mega quizzes.

  • Over 4000 students participating in the Maths Week Quiz in Irish with CoGG.

  • 683 classes played Targetboards

  • and more than 160 secondary school classes had registered for the Maths Week TV Secondary School Webinars.

  • Over 20,000 participated in Maths in the City Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Dundalk, at the Munster Maths and Science Fair and engaged with Puzzles in the Park

  • .Over 147,000 people views of the Maths Week puzzles in the Journal.ie

We trended on X (Twitter) every day and climbed to #1 trending on twitter from 13th-14th October.

Up and down the island schools did amazing things and posted them on social media. If you are posting your maths activities or news on social media be sure to include @mathsweek so we can repost.

Gender Gap in Maths

A big congratulations to all 683 classes that took part in Targetboards. Amazing to see the amount of work posted every day by young people having fun while developing an intuition about numbers and operators. Congratulations to the schools who topped the leaderboards in the end. Take a bow!
