ATU, Atlantic Technological University - Sligo Ash Lane, Sligo, SligoATU Sligo is holding a mathematics talk for primary and secondary school kids during Maths Week. The speaker, Dr. Fernando Blasco is a mathematician and lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, interested in recreational maths and magic. He uses magic to introduce the public to topics such as prime numbers, knot theory, sudoku, topology, number systems, mind games, calendars or quick calculation.

Maths Week TV Mega Quiz with Franz Schlindwein | 5th class-1st year (ROI); P6 – Y8 (NI)
ONLINE EventWhere pupils in their own class, collaborate to work as one team, competing against hundreds of other classes from across the country. Last year we had more than 20,000 pupils participate in the Maths Week Mini and Mega Quiz events, simultaneously. The questions nurture collaboration and communication between classmates and as they are posed by video and not in written form, encourage all pupils to become actively involved. They are great fun too!
