Maths Week Ireland is pleased to facilitate maths workshops led by maths educator Douglas Buchanan for primary schools around Ireland. These one-hour long workshops are intended for Fourth and Fifth Class pupils.

Doug’s workshops give participants the opportunity to solve various puzzles working in pairs or small groups. It gives them the chance to collaborate and also allows them to stretch their mathematical skills.

Doug is a seasoned maths educator who travels around the United Kingdom hosting maths challenges and puzzling workshops. His aim is to make maths teaching and learning meaningful and appealing by keeping away from the textbook and presenting the subject through problem solving.
