Audience: This workshop has been tailored for Primary and Secondary school students. Celebrate Maths week with Galway Atlantaquaria and discover why numeracy is vital to the running of the aquarium.

Junior infant – 2nd Class:
Explore the numbers of the sea; Students will use shells and biofacts in counting, comparing and ordering. During their Maths Trail in the Aquarium, students will solve simple problems based on their observations of the exhibits.

3rd – 6th Class and Secondary schools:
With activity stations dotted around the tour route, the students will be actively engaged in investigating symmetry, measuring, and comparing & ordering while discovering what lies beneath the ocean. Students will be challenged further in the classroom where they will implement problem solving skills to question the cost of water in the real world. This workshop has been tailored to both Primary and Secondary schools
