Living Maths with Bobby Seagull (Junior Secondary)
October 20, 2022 @ 10:00 - 11:00
Maths Week Ireland is pleased to offer a free event for schools and delighted to present Bobby Seagull at the Gate theatre for a fun filled event to motivate and inspire your students. This event is for 1-3 year pupils. Booking link is below.
For Bobby, maths was instrumental in unlocking the secrets of everyday life from understanding the randomness of football results, to organising his time and his choice of music. Using stories from his own life, Bobby brings his infectious enthusiasm to everything from the right number of friends to have to the power of prime numbers controlling everything from credit card numbers to cicada insect hibernation habits. You’ll never look at your maths classes in school the same way again!
Bobby Seagull (born 1984) is a well-known TV and radio presenter, mathematics teacher, and writer. He worked as a financial trader with Lehman Brothers before the financial crash. Since then he has become a secondary school maths teacher, and a national campaigner to improve maths literacy in the UK.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Seagull
