Catapult-Building at Castlecomer Discovery Park

Description: STEM learning brought to life with giant Catapult-Building. Using a collection of poles and ropes, small groups work together to engineer and build a working catapult. Once constructed, groups will test the success of their catapult by firing a variety of projectiles. A range of maths problems can be explored such as size of the arms, angles, force, size/shape/volume of projectile, distance reached etc.
