As part of Maths Week 2022 Midlands Sciencemathsweek are inviting all primary schools in the Midlands to take part in the 10c challenge! This is a great chance to get your students thinking about Maths in a fun and interactive way!  

How it works: During Maths Week 2022 (October 15th-23rd) get each of you students to bring a 10c coin to school, lay all the coins together in one line and figure out how long the line is! Ask your students to predict the answer before you do the calculations. You could get them to work out the total length, weight or distance covered by the coins!  

Upload a picture of your class taking part in the challenge to Facebook or Instagram and tag Midlands Science for your chance to win a day of free workshops for your school! Note this competition is only valid during Maths Week 2022 (October 15th-23rd) winning school will be announced during the following week (w/c October 24th).
