
Maths and Magic in Spanish
All students in secondary classes are welcome.
This mathematical show in Spanish addresses to secondary schools and its students of Spanish and will show that mathematics are everywhere: from serious applications, such as cryptography, to fun and leisure.
Dr Fernando Blasco is one of Spain’s best known mathematics promoters. He collaborates with TV shows and radio programmes in Spain and performs in Civic Centres, Science Museums, University Classrooms and other stages. He is also a mathematician and lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, interested in recreational maths and magic. He uses magic to introduce the public to topics such as prime numbers, knot theory, sudoku, topology, number systems, mind games, Rubik’s cube, calendars and quick calculations.
