NEW! Money Sense Resources |
We are delighted to announce a suite of exciting new Money Sense activities for schools. Budgeting, money sense and financial literacy are all key life skills, and these games are designed to teach young people these key life skills in a fun and playful way. These games have been developed with the support of Ireland State Savings. With their generous support, packs have been sent to all primary schools in the Republic of Ireland. These resources are all available to download to make up yourself.
Beidh na hacmhannaí seo le fáil as Gaeilge freisin. |
Note: we were unable to secure a sponsor in Northern Ireland and unfortunately could not send them to schools in the North this year. Some of these resources are only available at present in euro currency but we are currently trying to convert them to Sterling also. We hope to be able to get funding for provision of hard copies in the North next year. |

The Unexpected Maths of Juggling workshop with Colin Wright Thursday 16th of October 09:45 AM to 10:45
Science Building T101, DCU. |

Juggling has fascinated people for centuries. Seemingly oblivious to gravity, the juggler will keep several objects in the air at one time, and weave complex patterns that seem to defy analysis. In this fun and interactive talk Colin will demonstrate a selection of the patterns and skills of juggling while at the same time developing a simple method of describing and annotating a class of juggling patterns. Colin will show how these patterns can be described by secondary school maths and can lead to techniques for discovering new ones.
