In the puzzle sheets, unknown numbers are represented by pictures. These puzzles are a bridge between two big areas of mathematics: arithmetic and algebra.
The Caesar Cipher has a long history of usage, dating back to Julius Ceasar (100BC-44 BC). The cipher works by substituting for each letter the letter that is n letters further along the alphabet, where n is the key.
A polyomino is a plane geometric figure formed by joining one or more equal squares edge to edge. Polyominoes have connections with various themes in geometry, symmetry, tiling, perimeter, and area.
