Maths Week Ireland 2016 will take place October 15th to 23rd

The countdown has begun to Maths Week 2016 - the biggest festival of its kind in the world!


Maths Week Ireland 2015 had well over a quarter of a million people engaged (we have accounted for more than 270,000)...! This included at least 229,000 pupils doing enriching maths activities in school and on-line, Over twenty thousand joining in various large scale events such as Maths in the City Dublin & Belfast, Mallow Maths and Science Fair, Celebration of Mind Botanic Gardens and attending over 150 events at partner centres all across the island and tens of thousands doing Maths Week puzzles in various media. Through media coverage Maths Week reached into every home on the island.  Thanks to all teachers, schools, partners, presenters and sponsors and to all who participated to make it the biggest Maths festival in the world!

Maths Week 2016 will take place from the 15th to the 23rd of October.

This years Maths Week will be even better than 2015 with more schools and people taking part. Register your school and be part of the largest Maths Festival!

We are excited to announce that new Problem Solving workshops will be delivered across the country in Education Centres for Primary Teachers. These workshops aim to increase awareness around how to develop problem solving with pupils throughout the year. The following Education Centres will be hosting the workshop prior to Maths Week:

Navan Education Centre: 26th September 2016 from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
Monaghan Education Centre: 28th September 2016 from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
Waterford Education Centre: 4th October 2016 from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
Tipperary Education Centre: 5th October 2016 from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
Limerick Education Centre: 6th October 2016 from 4 - 6:30 p.m.
