"We must all do something about maths"
ESOF 2012 Talk (12 July at the National Convention Centre) - was an enormous success. Apologies to all those who had to stand through the hour-and-a-half session. And bigger apologies to all those turned away by staff because of overcrowding!
Thanks to the Speakers:

We will be posting material from the session here shortly.
We would love to hear from you! You can contact us at mathsweek@wit.ie
Maths in the City ran at the top of Grafton Street for 5 hours (13 July) and despite the rain crowds stayed engaged with all the activities, puzzles and magic demonstrations. Families from Clonmel and Killarney reported coming up to Dublin specially for Maths in the City! Many others were just surprised by the displays and eagerly joined in.
Maths Week 2011 is is now over. And what a week it has been. Starting with Maths in the City in Dublin on the 15th and finishing in Belfast on the 22nd October it has been amazingly successful.
Thanks to all the participants, teachers, presenters and partners all over Ireland.
Thanks also to our sponsors.
You have made Maths Week Ireland the top festival of its kind in the world.
Over 122,000 pupils participated in schools all over the island and many more attended (well) over 100 events. WE estimate that over 150,000 engaged directly in Maths Week. National and local media coverage brought the positive maths message to millions.
Loads of activities and projects were launched during Maths Week this year generating a sustained impact!
Maths Week Ireland 2012 will run from 13th - 21st October 2012 - with your help we intend to keep growing!!
