data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\">Maths Week Ireland 2025 took place from  the 11th October \u2013 19th October.<\/h4>\n<p>Maths Week Ireland is an all-island initiative promoting <strong>positive attitudes towards<\/strong> maths and highlighting the importance of maths in our lives since 2006. This annual festival is a collaborative partnership of organisations including all the universities, institutes of technology, professional bodies, visitor centres and more.<\/p>\n<p>Maths Week has grown to attract participation from as many as 520,000 people annually across the island of Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, Maths Week Ireland is <strong>celebrating its 20th year!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMaths Week is an important way to help learners, of all ages, enjoy maths and to highlight the creativity of the subject.\u201d <b>Aoibhinn N\u00ed Sh\u00failleabh\u00e1in<\/b>, assistant professor at <span class=\"fusion-tooltip tooltip-shortcode\" title=\"\" data-animation=\"\" data-delay=\"0\" data-placement=\"top\" data-title=\"University College Dublin\" data-toggle=\"tooltip\" data-trigger=\"hover\" data-original-title=\"University College Dublin\">UCD<\/span> and science communicator.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"32\" data-lineheight=\"44.8px\">Maths at Work<\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><p>Through \u2018Maths at Work\u2019 we are hoping to <b>shine a light on the wide range of careers<\/b> that use Maths on a day to day basis. In the <span style=\"color: #25a9bd;\">Research Ireland <\/span>Science in Ireland report (2015) respondents showed Maths Week with <b>highest participation and third highest recognition<\/b> (after
