The talk will concern fractals and their non-integer dimensions. It will also incorporate how fractal or fractal-like structure can be seen in nature (Romanescu broccoli), technology (e.g. some people design antennae in fractal-like ways) and in other areas of mathematics (e.g. 'strange attractors' in dynamical systems).
