Maths Week Launch in Northern Ireland
Maths Week Ireland is launched at the Armagh Planetarium by Minister O'Dowd
Friday 14th October at Armagh Planetarium, the Minister for Education John O' Dowd launched Maths Week. The planetarium, Ireland's oldest science visitor centre was an appropriate setting as maths is such a key part of astronomy and space. In addition the fantastic STEM Module was present and students from local secondary schools explored measurement, scale and coordinates. Thanks to Dr Tom Mason, Planetarium Director, a longstanding promoter of STEM for hosting the launch.
